In this guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about bridal sample sales, including how to prepare, what to expect, and tips for making the most of your experience.

We have a fabulous selection of sample pieces in varying sizes and designs that are available to take away with you on the day if needed.

What is a bridal sample sale?

 

  • Once or twice a year, we will hold a sample sale event. During these events, we fill the whole boutique (either London or Hitchin) with sale dresses from both boutiques with reductions up to 80% off! This is the only time you will be able to try our London designers in Hitchin and vice versa.
  • On sample sale days, we work on a first-come, first-served basis, and brides have around 20 minutes with a stylist to try on around 4 dresses. It may be quicker paced than usual, but we still make sure you have a memorable appointment.
  • If you have missed one of our sample sale events, do not worry. We keep a selection of sample sale dresses in both boutiques all year round.

 

  • Sample dresses start from £600+, most are between £800 - £1400. Reductions can be up to 80%.

 

  • We have sample pieces in sizes 6 – 20, although most are between size 10 – 14.

 

 

  • Sample sale wedding dresses are priced according to their condition. We do our absolute best to treat the dresses well in-store, but as they have been tried on in-store, they will never be as perfect as a brand new dress.
  • Dresses that are reduced by 80%, you can expect to see normal signs of wear on a dress that has been tried on by brides in the boutique. We do our best to repair any damage ahead of a sample sale so that you see them in the very best condition. Dry cleaning may be included in the price or priced on top.

 

  • We recommend bringing one guest with you when trying your sample sale wedding dress, two absolute maximum. Wear nude, seamless underwear and a strapless bra if you would prefer to not go braless. We have heels here for you, but if you have a favourite pair of shoes, feel free to bring them along. Finally, come prepared to find the one!

 

  • On sample sale days, we work on a first-come, first-served basis and show brides in once there is a fitting room available. Brides have around 20 minutes with their stylist to try on approximately 4 dresses. The stylists will use their usual magic to help you select dresses that suit your day, budget, and shape. It may be quicker paced than usual, but we still make sure you have a memorable and enjoyable experience.
  • Our sample sale brides use the same seamstresses as our made-to-order brides, so you are in very safe hands. Our stylists will give you an estimate for any work that you may need, but your fittings will start with the seamstress much closer to the time.
