Congratulations, you are a new bride to be! But if you are not quite sure how everything works here are a few FAQ that may help you to start your planning. If there is anything you are not sure of or we have missed something important please do not hesitate to contact us, we are always here and happy to help!
Start thinking of choosing your dress about 8 months to a year before the wedding if you can. Any sooner and you could find that you miss out on the newer collections as they can take several months to make. As so many other aspects of your wedding can evolve from your choice of dress (accessories, bridesmaids, flowers, grooms outfit, maybe even the cake and decoration of your reception venue) it’s a good idea to make the dress one of the first items that you choose.
Yes, call us to book an appointment so that we can spend at least an hour of uninterrupted time with you.
* We take a £30 booking fee for a Saturday appointment in London and £20 in the Hitchin store which is paid at the time of making your appointment. For evening appointments, which are available upon request, we require a £30 appointment fee in both stores. The booking fee is non-refundable on cancellation, however, should you find your dress with us this would be deducted from the cost of your dress.
We have a selection of suitable bridal underwear to try on under the dresses. This will help greatly with the fit and look of the gowns and will make you feel fantastic. We also have shoes and anything else you might need.
Firstly, congratulations! We will start by taking your measurements and a couple of photos of you in your gown. We will then refer to the designer’s size chart and discuss sizing with you. We then need an initial payment of 50% to order the dress, which can take up to 3-7 months to be delivered.
Once your gown has arrived in store, we will let you know. This is when the remaining 50% is due.
In both of our boutiques, we recommend you go and see our professional seamstresses in the Hertfordshire and London area, at their studio’s. All of our seamstresses have worked with our dresses for many years and are familiar with all of our gowns. They are all flexible around your busy schedules and most are available during evenings and weekends. They will only charge you for what you need.
IMPORTANT – you will always need to take the shoes and underwear that you plan to wear on your wedding day to all your fittings.
