We have some great news for you. This month, our Hitchin boutique in Hertfordshire is holding a designer wedding dress sale on 23rd November. Doors open at 9am, with dresses available from only £300!
If you’ve never been to a sample sale before, here’s what you should expect from the day and how to best prepare:
Sample sale advice
At Morgan Davies, we keep a selection of sample gowns available throughout the year, especially for brides who need a gown in a hurry or want a designer dress for less. But we also have seasonal sample sales for a limited time where appointments are available, and all gowns are on a first come, first served basis.
If you’re attending a sample sale to find your dream dress, take a look at our hints and tips below:
Breakfast is, according to many, the most important meal of the day. This is certainly the case when you have a big day wedding dress shopping ahead of you. If you’re a first time visitor to Hitchin, check our previous blog on the best spots in town to fuel up for the day.
Expect a queue
We stock some of the world’s most renowned designers so, as you can imagine, our sample sales are bustling with excited brides-to-be. Queues do often stretch down the street. Fortunately, because we’re British, we know exactly how to correctly queue, and our sale selection will be worth the wait!
Bring an umbrella
The only thing predictable about the weather in the UK is its unpredictability, so it’s best to come prepared for any and all seasons.
You are likely to be limited to the number of gowns you can try on during your visit. This is why well-fitting underwear in a neutral/nude colour is ideal as it won’t distract your eye from the gown.
Friends and family
Try to avoid the temptation to bring everyone with you to your sample sale visit. The shop will be busier than usual, and you really want to get advice from your closest friends or family. Too many opinions can prevent you from enjoying your bridal dress shopping experience.
Have an idea of what style you’re after
We strongly recommend that you try some gowns on before you attend to help give you an idea of what you’re looking for. With so many designs on offer, you may well end up somewhat overwhelmed by the sheer choice.
There is no appointment necessary for our sample sale day so pop in anytime from 9am until 5pm. If you have any further questions or want any advice, contact us on 01462 432889 today or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sale takes place on the 23rd November. Dresses are sold on a first come, first served basis.
