Brides got the chance to relive their wedding day during an event staged to celebrate our 25th anniversary.
Customers helped Morgan Davies Bridal mark the occasion by bringing back their old gowns to make up a special collection, which demonstrated the changing of styles and fashion through the years.
Miss Universe finalist Alexa Taylor was the star guest at the party, which took place on Thursday, May 28. The beauty pageant star, who is also from the town, is being sponsored by the luxury boutique, based in Sun Street.
She said: “The team have been making brides across the town and region happy for 25 years thanks to the luxury dresses and their bespoke approach. It was a pleasure to help them celebrate reaching this significant milestone.”
Carol Davies and her daughter, Samantha Weston, founded the business in 1990 under the name of The Bridal Room before the store was renamed in 2005 to match the Islington boutique they launched in 1999.
Mrs Weston, who now runs the family business, said: “Hitchin brides really did do us proud by answering the call to bring back their gowns. Some of the styles were a little questionable, but most have remained surprisingly timeless.
“They were so happy to see their dresses brought back to life, and many were posing with their gown for a photograph, laughing about whether they could get back into it or not.”
She added: “I think our success is down to the fact that we recognise every bride is different with their own individuality and personal style, and by using our expertise and knowledge we have be able to guide every bride to their perfect dress.”
The event was attended by businesses, brides, staff and industry representatives.
