It’s been quite a year for Morgan Davies in Hertfordshire. With the launch of some new collections, successful designer weekends, shortlisted for the prestigious Bridal Buyer Awards, and of course so many beautiful brides who have been married in 2017.
In May we launched the new collection by Modeca. This bridal company from the Netherlands has a long heritage as the business was first started in 1946. They offer a good range of designs with a modern twist and some very individual design details. A great addition to the Morgan Davies array of designers.
We also received the brand new collection from Atelier Emelia in December. This French design house is run by 3 very talented sisters who have worked in the world of bridal for over 40 years. Valuing their own French heritage and mastery of cutting, creativity and fitting they also work with masters in craftsmanship such as the lace makers of Calais and the embroiderers of Villers Outreaux, from further afield they use the best Italian and Spanish weavers for mikados, tulle and silk organza.
Designer Days and Trunk Shows
Morgan Davies have had a jam-packed calendar this year with special designer events for brides. We started off in January with an Anna Kara trunk show. With a great collection of wedding dresses from this very popular Polish designer, UK brides had a rare chance to see a fantastic variety of Anna Kara’s dresses.
In February we had two trunk shows, both from Spanish designers. The amazing Marco & Maria provided the distinctive, original, ethereal bohemian look for the relaxed and individual bride, and the great heritage of Rosa Clara gave us beautiful classic styling for sophisticated and elegant brides.
In March we held a trunk show for Parisian designers Cymbeline, showcasing all that is exciting from this French designer, beautiful lace, soft tulle and designs with a modern twist.
We were to invite Rosa Clara again in September, this time to give us an exciting preview of the new 2018 collection which was every bit as breathtaking as we thought it would be. And lastly, in November we saw the next new collection from Anna Kara, showcasing designs for 2018. What a fantastic collection this was, carrying the enduring Anna Kara signature of delicate designs using softest lace, chiffon and tulle forward for another year.
In the summer Morgan Davies were nominated for a category in the prestigious Bridal Buyer Awards, so we put on our party frocks and spent a fabulous evening at the glamorous awards ceremony in Harrogate.
