1. Seychelles

It would be remiss of me not to mention Seychelles, as this is where I spent my honeymoon. top-five-honeymoon-destinations-seychells

During our time spent on this island paradise, we were also shown how to open green coconuts with a wooden spike and spent time watching local school children playing with the amazing and wise giant tortoises indigenous to these islands.  After a 15-minute plane ride, we were soon back at our hotel with the memories of a lifetime.

2. Positano & The Amalfi Coast

Italy offers an air of romance and the Amalfi Coast is home to a little gem called Positano. Here you can amble around narrow streets, past local shops and cafes where you may wish to pause, taking time to enjoy a glass of Limoncello while watching the world go by. top-five-honeymoon-destinations-positano

Wander away from the main beach and you will find Fornillo Beach situated only a short 10-minute walk from Marina Grande – the walk is breathtaking! Fornillo Beach is set in a pretty cove complete with a 16th century watchtower overlooking the bay. Hotels in Positano are dotted amongst the hillside backdrop and offer stunning views across the town and coastline.

3. Canada

Looking for adventure and the great outdoors? Then head over to the west coast of Canada and experience Vancouver and Vancouver Island. There is such a vast amount of activities open to you that you would struggle to find in one place anywhere else – whale and orca watching, kayaking, cycling, walking across the Capilano Suspension Bridge, or simply visit the city of Vancouver and the many parks close

Vancouver Island is a scenic ferry or floatplane ride from the mainland. Here in the Canadian Rockies you can choose, depending on your own personal preference, to stay in a magnificent Chateau on the edge of Lake Louise or a rustic mountain lodge retreat surrounded by towering trees.

4. South Africa

Rising at dawn may seem extreme on your honeymoon, however, chances are, you will find this well worth that early morning call.  Seated in your vehicle with the sunrise quietly greeting the day, on a safari game drive you may witness an elegant giraffe drinking from a local waterhole or enjoy watching the antics of the hornbill hopping around the African bush busying himself and preparing to greet the day.

You will be spoilt for choice for things you may wish to include on your trip to South Africa– you can head to the coast to relax on a beautiful beach, visit a vineyard in the Cape Winelands to sample the wines, experience the history and culture of the cities or go whale watching along the Cape South Coast.

5. Austria

Stunning scenery, emerald lakes nestled between towering mountains and cities brimming with culture and opulent palaces. Austria can be a wonderful choice for either a honeymoon or a mini-moon

Innsbruck lies at the foot of the Nordkette mountain range and these mountains appear to rise right up out of the city itself.  Take the cable car up to the nearby village of Igls where you will appreciate the fresh mountain air and the magnificent scenic beauty of the area.

Vienna is a city brimming with culture, with opulent palaces, museums, and opera houses. Vienna is also close to Seegrotte Hinterbrühl the largest underground lake in Europe, 15km south of the city. During your stay, relax and enjoy the café culture of the city or take a tour of the 500-year old Villon Wine Cellar. This four-storey deep wine cellar offers a unique wine tasting experience in the heart of Vienna.
